@sdanville I bought a sewer camera 169' of cable for less than $200. My point is if you run a camera, you can assess the condition of your drain, and you can verify if you got 100% of the blockage or not. Trust me, a camera and a reliable used auger is a great investment and way cheaper than a pumber.

What model did you buy? I just got a 3/4 inch Vevor one. Cost about $600. On the cheap side but looks like it will do the job. Just curious if you got a similar one and if so how well it is working for you?

@@101perspective I bought Ridgid K-400 auto feed 1/2" x 75 feet. $908.00. The price is a little expensive. I have been clearing out clog sewage drain myself. The Ridgid works really well. I get tire feeding the snake. With the auto feed it makes life much easier.

@@wayman10 I think Ridgid is a good brand though. One I bought is a knockoff type brand. Think it is same one Harbor Freight sells, only a different color. Mine is also 3/4" and 100 feet. Don't think HF sells that size. I probably would have gotten a ridgid but I wasn't sure I would ever find my cleanout in the yard...lol. Which means I would need slightly more than 75 feet. Finally found it though, buried 7 inches down. I'm sure this vevor one will get the job done... only using it a couple times a year to make sure the roots don't get too bad in there.

Depending on where you live a plumber can do this for around 300 dollars. I rented the machine for around 50 for 50 dollars, make sure you can loosen the main line cap before you rent, if not you need a plumber.
